This Two-Day Basic Blueprint Reading & Drawing Interpretation Course is an entry-level, in-person training designed to help manufacturing professionals confidently read and interpret shop blueprints, engineering drawings, and 2D technical drawings.

Taught by experienced instructors at Made to Measure, this course builds foundational skills that students can immediately apply to fabrication, assembly, and inspection work. No prior blueprint reading experience is required.

Each registration reserves one seat per student for this onsite training seminar.

What You’ll Learn

This course starts with the fundamentals of how manufacturing drawings are structured and progressively builds practical understanding through real-world examples and classroom discussion.

Students will learn how to:

  • Read and interpret manufacturing blueprints correctly
  • Understand common drawing views and projections
  • Identify critical dimensions and tolerances
  • Reduce uncertainty when working from prints on the shop floor or in inspection

Hands-on scenarios are included, and students are encouraged to bring their own 2D drawings (with company permission) to apply the material directly to their work.
