2018 TMA High School Precision Machining Competition Awards

In the month of April 2018, we we’re granted the opportunity to play a critical role in collecting measuring data for judging the 47th Annual TMA Precision Machining Competition hosted by Mazak in Schaumburg, IL.

243 students from 20 local high schools participated in the competition & Made to Measure created CMM Programs to inspect the well crafted parts submitted by the students.

Technology & Manufacturing Association of Illinois - High School Precision Measuring Competition 2018

At the awards ceremony, we’re taken back by all of the positive energy and buzz around the manufacturing industry. We had the pleasure of talking to the participating students, parents, and faculty before the awards we’re presented at Mazak’s facility where students were encouraged to ask questions and get a feel for the different career paths the manufacturing industry has to offer. Not only was the event beneficial for the high school students, but we, as a sponsor, learned a lot from them too! Their enthusiasm for the trade was infectious and uplifting and we see a bright future ahead for Illinois! Awards were given, pizza was served, and connections were made. A special thanks to TMA for all of the opportunities they have presented to the youth as well as the sponsors of this event. See you next year!
